EMS Leaders of Tomorrow Project:  Tomorrow's EMS leaders are todays EMS practitioners.  The purpose of this project is to provide tomorrow's EMS leaders with the skills they need to understand, react, and manage tomorrow's EMS system. Through a series of workshops and lecture series presentations, tomorrow's EMS leaders are provided valuable skills, information, and lessons learned by regional, state, and nationally recognized EMS administrators.

Course Design: The course is divided into two basic education levels.  The first level is an Introductory Course (Level I) and the second level is EMS System Discussions (Level II) . EMMCO West staff members will be the primary guest lecturers for both of these sessions. To successfully complete the course a participant needs to attend BOTH a Level I and Level II session.

Remaining Level I session May 23, 2008, Cross Creek Resort, 11:30 AM (Lunch Provided).  Starts immediately following the EMS Elected Officials Breakfast.

Lecture Series: In addition to attending a Level I and Level II session, attendance at TWO of the 3 hour and 6 hour Lecture Series presentations are required for course completion. The lecture series guest speakers feature leading management, consultants, and EMS system experts.  Included are nationally recognized presenters Jay Fitch and Douglas Wolfberg.  Additional presenters include Chris Dell, Rox Cox, J.R. Henry, Richard Lippert, & Richard Fuller.

Topics Include:

Banquet Dinner & Course Completion: Candidates that attend Level I & II sessions and (2) 3 hr. & 6 hr. lecture series presentations will be the honored guest at a special EMS Leadership banquet dinner in September. There will be special guest presentations at the banquet featuring regional and statewide speakers. Each successful candidate will receive a course completion certificate and an EMS Leadership award.
