Proposed Changes To EMS Act

For the past year and a half, the PA Department of Health & Pennsylvania Emergency Health Services Council, along with regional councils (such as EMMCO West, Inc.) and other emergency health care organizations that provided input/comments, are working on a draft of what a new EMS Act would look like. At the link provided below, you can get a look at the initial draft. Prior to it being introduced to any legislative action, the EMS Office is asking you for your input. In the coming months, regional town meetings will be held to discuss the proposed changes and to learn about additional changes that should be considered. Now is the time for your voices to be heard (i.e. refer to the latest Director's Corner LifeLine Summer 2005). Please spend some time to review the document. EMMCO West will notify you of the time and place for the regional town meetings. Representatives from the EMS Office will be present to hear your comments and suggestions.

Your input will be vital in forming the EMS system for the next 10 - 20 years!
