Prerequisites

To be eligible for this course, participants must:

• Be 18 years of age or older

• Hold a current certification in CPR or be a certified CPR instructor

• Possess a current EMT certification or a higher-level EMS provider certification

• Have at least one year of experience providing EMS as an EMT or a higher-level EMS provider

Course Overview

This program includes:

• 44 hours of classroom instruction

• 20-hour internship at a PA DOH training institute

• Successful completion makes participants eligible for PA DOH EMS Instructor recognition
